By enhancing our members’ character development, leadership skills, and producing a quality fraternity experience, we aim to be widely recognized as the leading college fraternity so that we will attract the highest caliber men for membership.
To us, this means that we want to focus our energy on helping our members realize their full potential as an individual during their college career. We set high expectations for our members so that they learn to lead a well-rounded lifestyle in college and beyond graduation. It is because of these high expectations that Tau Kappa Epsilon is producing campus and community leaders, making TKE a premier fraternity on the University of Georgia campus.
TKE is quickly becoming recognized as a high quality college fraternity, with exceptional members, who make a positive impact in the world. Our members and chapters represent the quintessential example of the positive elements of fraternity life, and this success is reflected at the individual, campus, community, and national levels. Our members share a common values set in a social environment that fosters personal development, responsibility, and accountability through a wide range of experiential opportunities, aimed at better preparing our members for a productive life – both in and out of college.
Tekes are men from diverse backgrounds, but the TKE Nation is one which unites us all in a common bond, where we make an immeasurably positive impact on the lives of every member, in every community, and around the world.
Georgia vs. Florida Weekend
In celebration of the “The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” the brothers of TKE and friends take a trip to St. Simons Island for a weekend away from Athens to cheer on the Dawgs! The weekend is known for its’ awesome beach party with thousands of Georgia fans and road trip from St. Simons to Jacksonville for the game.
Socials occur 4 to 5 times each semester at the Xi-Lambda Chapter. A social consists of the house and a sorority getting together, dressing to a specific theme (Boots n’ Boxers, Holidays, Centuries, etc.) and going out to a popular venue in downtown Athens for a night of dancing, socializing, and fun.
If there is one thing Xi-Lambda loves, it’s sports. TKE supports all UGA athletics and makes sure to show that support. TKE tailgates for every home football game, numerous baseball, and basketball games. There is nothing better than seeing the Dawgs win on a beautiful fall weekend!
Date Nights are social events with a specific theme where each brother invites a young lady for a fun night out on the town. Typically Xi-Lambda has 2 date nights a semester with themes like Tekes of Hazzard, CEOs and Secretaries, Tour de Franzia, Halloween, etc.
Every Fall semester the brothers host their annual semi formal event that includes dinner, dancing, and more at several venues in downtown Athens.
Red Carnation Ball
Red Carnation Ball is the annual Spring Formal. Each year TKE travels away from Athens for an unforgettable weekend of fun. Previous years have seen us visit Gatlinburg, TN and St. Simons Island.
These events happen every few weeks, and are the experiences you will remember most in your Greek career. Ranging from trivia nights, Formal Fridays, Big Bro – Little Bro night, every event is a blast.
Brotherhood retreat occurs at least once a year in an undisclosed location. For an entire weekend, all members stay somewhere remote, and meet to discuss goals and ideas for the upcoming semester/year. Nothing is more fun than spending time with your brothers.
