In Tau Kappa Epsilon we believe that recruitment is the lifeblood of the fraternity. From the very beginning our members are trained how to bring more qualified men into our ranks. We believe the more men we can reach, the more lives we can change, and ultimately the better our world will become in the future. The Blueprint focuses on the elements shown below, which we believe every man should be well-versed.
The mythological patron of Tau Kappa Epsilon is Apollo, one of the most important of Olympian divinities. Apollo is the Greek god of music, culture, light, and truth, the ideals toward which all Tekes constantly strive. Typifying the finest development of manhood, the selection of Apollo is most appropriate. Through the application of our new member program, The Blueprint, Tau Kappa Epsilon truly is building better men for a better world.
Tau Kappa Epsilon expects serious attention to academic performance. A strong academic record not only prepares members for success after graduation, but it also helps them strengthen their mind to the world. TKE will help its members excel in their academic life and assist in their pursuits afterward.
TKE teaches the basic principles of effective living such as integrity, honesty and patience, which are core values in Tau Kappa Epsilon. Generations of men have become successful in life through their experiences in Tau Kappa Epsilon.
TKE offers men the opportunity to develop as leaders and prepares them to use those leadership skills during their lifetime. Tekes are encouraged to take an active leadership role in community, campus, and chapter activities.
Tau Kappa Epsilon believes that the backbone of a successful team is based on building relationships, and developing strong interpersonal ties. TKE helps our members reach their full potential, and achieve a level of excellence in every activity in which they engage.
TKE is committed to instilling a sense of responsibility and contribution in all of our members. The Fraternity encourages members to provide service to their campus and community through philanthropic activities.
In Tau Kappa Epsilon hundreds of thousands of men have established solid friendships that last a lifetime. Tekes around the world act as a network of friends, which can be very beneficial both personally and professionally to our members.
Membership recruitment is the most important activity in every TKE chapter. Recruitment is the way we perpetuate the ideals of the Fraternity and ensure the future success of TKE. Without new members, there will be no Tau Kappa Epsilon. We firmly believe this, and when picking our potential brothers, we look for men who will excel in the above fields both in the house and on campus.
