Congratulations are in order for several TKE Xi-Lambda alumni for making this year’s Bulldog 100. The Bulldog 100 is a program that will determine and award the 100 fastest growing businesses that are owned or operated by UGA Alumni, each year. Companies are rated by “Compounded Annual Growth Rate” of revenues for the last 3 years. This year the Xi-Lambda Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon is proud to announce several Tekes selected for this prestigious honor!
# 3 on the Bulldog 100: Ty Cook and Ryan Cook — CTS Protective Services, Inc.
Founded in 2003, CTS was born out of a desire to create a company that values the importance of treating employees with respect and providing customers with superior work and service. These values and superior performance have allowed CTS Protective Services to grow into the 10th largest ADT Authorized Dealer in North America.

Every year the Xi-Lambda chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon has the honor of selecting one young lady to be the chapter’s Sweetheart. The title of Sweetheart is not one easily attained. She needs to not only be friends with the brothers, but also excel academically and be actively involved on campus and in the community.
This year Xi-Lambda is proud to announce Taylor Howell as the 2011 Sweetheart. Taylor has excelled scholastically, socially, and philanthropically. As a member of Sigma Kappa she has served on several committees and has taken an even larger role with UGA Heros. UGA Heroes is the only organization that raises money and awareness for children affected by HIV and AIDS in Georgia. Taylor has personally helped to get many of the TKE brothers involved with this great cause.
We are excited for Taylor to represent Xi-Lambda in the TKE International Sweetheart Competition. The International Sweetheart will be awarded a scholarship and be crowned at either Conclave or at a designated Regional Leadership Conference. The winner represents the TKE Nation at all designated Fraternity functions, as schedules permit. We love you Taylor Howell, our TKE Xi-Lambda Chapter Sweetheart.
After much debate and deliberation from all the brothers of the Xi-Lambda chapter of TKE, the new Executive Board has been elected. The brothers would like to thank the past Executive Board for their hard work and success. It has been a great year under their leadership; re-chartering, a new house, 29 new members.
Congratulations to the new Xi-lambda Chapter of TKE Executive Board. We wish them the best of luck in the upcoming year! The new officers are as follows:
President: Greg Stephans
Vice-President: Josh Indech
Secretary: Hilton Huff
Treasurer: Grayson Jacobs
Sergeant-At-Arms: Daniel Danz
Historian: Alex Chickowski
Chaplain: Jake Rooney
Chapter Educator: Ben Lastinger
Frater Jake Rooney was honored with the opportunity to be a staff member for SUSMUN 2011 this past weekend. SUSMUN is one of the three conferences that the International Model United Nations Association (IMUNA) organizes every year. IMUNA is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) formally recognized by the UN which puts on Model UN conferences for high school students with college students as staff. IMUNA selects the best applicants from a variety of schools, and they all unite to put on the best conference possible. This year, Jake was selected as the director for the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) covering the topics of Enforced Disappearances in Iraq and Human Rights Abuses in Vietnam. SUSMUN proved to be a huge success and we are proud of Frater Jake Rooney for his accomplishments.
